Tanaina is licensed by the Municipality of Anchorage Child Care Licensing department. Tanaina offers 3. 4 and 5 day programs. Rates are dependent on number of days enrolled. Tanaina operates Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Child Care Assistance through multiple programs is accepted. Tanaina participates in the CACFP food program. Through this we offer breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack at scheduled times of day. Tanaina is able to accommodate substitutions or alternatives for food allergies if needed in most situations dependent on the specifics.

Each family is required to volunteer their time for the benefit of Tanaina. 20 hours per child per year and 10 hours for each additional child enrolled. Volunteer hours begin upon enrollment and must be completed within 365 days of that date. There is also a “volunteer hour buy out” option payable at $20 per hour for any hours not completed or those families who may not be able to contribute time.
